Flower Mound and Highland Village residents reviewing Denton County’s redistricting webpage should note that its proposed maps and public-comment schedule belong to the 2021 process.
The county page lists guidelines dated Oct. 26, 2021, identifies its proposals as 2021 maps and carries a Nov. 23, 2021, update date. It does not announce a new 2026 redistricting proposal or comment deadline.
The timeline on that page lists November hearings from the earlier process. Those dates should not be treated as upcoming opportunities to comment on new commissioner boundaries.
Commissioner precinct boundaries determine which of the county’s four commissioners represents a neighborhood. Election precincts and polling locations are separate matters; the archived proposals do not establish changes to residents’ current voting assignments.
Residents can use the county’s Geographic Information Systems page to find precinct information by address.
Commissioners Court meets Oct. 20

The meeting is open to the public. Residents should consult the current agenda to see which matters are scheduled.
Anyone intending to provide oral or written testimony must submit a public-comment form before the meeting, according to the county’s meeting information page.
