Flower Mound High School will open its basketball season with Meet the Jags & Lady Jags Night on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the FMHS Arena.

The event gives fans their first look at both the boys and girls rosters for the 2026-27 season, according to an announcement from the school's official account on X. The school invited families and friends to "meet the players of our boys and girls basketball teams!"

The Lady Jags enter the new season after a historic 2025-26 run. Flower Mound made its first appearance in the UIL Class 6A state championship game on March 7, falling to Humble Summer Creek 45-55 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, according to Sports Illustrated.

The Jaguars barely squeezed into the postseason with a 9-5 district record and the final playoff berth out of an eight-team field, Sports Illustrated reported. Then they caught fire. Eight straight wins carried them to San Antonio, including a 47-39 upset of No. 2-ranked North Crowley on Feb. 27.

Flower Mound also beat Plano East, South Grand Prairie, Keller and Cedar Hill during the playoff run.

Maci Pringle, then a junior forward, led Flower Mound with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the state final. The school's student newspaper, FMHSWire, reported the team finished 29-8, while Sports Illustrated listed the record at 29-9.

"When you've gone to the state championship for the first time in school history, it's monumental," Pringle told FMHSWire in March.

On the boys side, the Jaguars posted a 12-19 record in 2024-25 with a 4-10 district mark, according to a Cross Timbers Gazette season preview. That preview identified forward Jackson Meche, an all-district honorable mention selection, as a player to watch heading into 2025-26. Results from the boys' 2025-26 campaign were not available.

Pringle was a junior during the Lady Jags' state championship run, making her eligible to return as a senior for the 2026-27 season.
