Salty Dawg Pet Salon + Bakery’s planned Flower Mound location has an Oct. 31 construction completion date listed in a state filing, though that date does not establish when the business will open.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation record describes an estimated $80,000 renovation at 6161 Long Prairie Road, Suite 120, in The Highlands at Flower Mound.

The project covers 1,489 square feet. Its scope is described as “renovation of an existing space for a dog salon.”

Registered July 20, the filing lists an Aug. 10 start date and an Oct. 31 completion date. Those dates reflect the submitted construction schedule rather than independently confirmed milestones.

Franchisee Hwasoo Kyung confirmed the project was in its early stages when contacted by What Now Dallas for a July 23 report. That report identified a possible opening in late 2026 or early 2027.

Grooming and a dog bakery

Salty Dawg is part of the Loyalty Brands franchise portfolio, according to What Now Dallas. The company promotes an open-floor grooming setup that allows owners to watch the process.

Its bakery offers biscuits, soft chews and other dog treats. The company’s website says most are made with human-grade, natural ingredients.

The chain’s location directory lists a nearby salon at Teel Crossing in Frisco, at 3288 Main St., Suite 109.

What the filing shows

The Flower Mound project is privately funded by the tenant. Dallas-based MB Studio is listed as the design firm, and InvenTrust Properties is listed as the property owner.

The architectural-barriers filing carries a “Review Complete” status. That designation does not confirm construction is finished or that the salon is authorized to open.

An exact opening date was not specified in the materials reviewed.
