Flower Mound's Outdoor Water Park drops weekday hours starting Wednesday, Aug. 12, when Lewisville ISD classes resume, but families can still catch weekend swims through Labor Day.

The town's Parks and Recreation Department announced the schedule change on its official Facebook page Tuesday, Aug. 4, giving families a week's notice before the shift takes effect.

What's changing

Beginning Aug. 12, the water park at the Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Rd., will be closed Monday through Friday. Weekend hours will be:

  • Saturdays: 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
  • Sundays: 1 to 5:45 p.m.

The season wraps up with one final day on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, from noon to 8 p.m.

Indoor pool maintenance adds a wrinkle

The CAC's year-round indoor pool will close Aug. 15–23 for annual maintenance. During that window, the outdoor water park will run modified hours starting Monday, Aug. 17, to accommodate lap swimmers. The Parks and Recreation Department said it will post a detailed schedule closer to that date.

Slides shut down after Sept. 7.

Outside the maintenance closure, the indoor pool remains open for play swim and lap lanes year-round, giving families an option once the lazy river goes quiet for the season.

What to know

The park features slides, a lazy river and a play structure. A concession stand operates during park hours, and coolers brought inside carry a $5 fee.

Families can register for CAC programs and memberships online or call 972-874-7275 for details.
