Three of six incidents in the Highland Village Police Department's latest blotter involved fitness centers, with thieves targeting unlocked lockers and parked cars in early August.

The blotter, compiled by the Cross Timbers Gazette from incident reports filed between approximately Aug. 1 and Aug. 9, paints a busy stretch for officers across the city.

At LA Fitness, two people on guest passes allegedly swiped an employee's car keys from the basketball court and drove off in the vehicle. The car was later recovered in Farmers Branch. A separate incident at Planet Fitness followed a similar playbook: two suspects allegedly took a man's wallet and keys from an unlocked locker and left in his vehicle. Officers tracked the car to a nearby parking lot.

The gym trouble didn't stop at theft. A Lewisville man known locally as the "Lewisville Thong Man" visited LA Fitness and exposed himself after a manager told him he was making patrons uncomfortable. Officers issued him a criminal trespass from the facility.

At TJ Maxx, two suspects the department described as "familiar troublemakers" allegedly attempted to steal more than $3,000 worth of merchandise before officers intervened. The blotter indicated the pair had been to the store before.

Officers also responded to a harassment case involving a resident's ex-boyfriend who allegedly continued contacting her and making threats. The suspect's father also contacted the woman, according to the blotter. The suspect is on parole, and officers advised him to cease contact.

The week's most unusual call came from FM 2499. Multiple drivers reported their vehicles being pelted with eggs, and at least one sustained hundreds of dollars in damage. Officers found four teenagers and a 60-count carton of Walmart eggs nearby. Case closed.
