Shake Shack will open its doors at The Shops at Highland Village at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, filling the former Capital One space at 1701 Shoal Creek.

It's the chain's first Highland Village location.

The opening adds a fourth North Texas Shake Shack alongside the Fort Worth Stockyards, DFW Airport and Southlake, according to the Cross Timbers Gazette. The restaurant was first announced for the shopping center in October 2025.

Opening-day festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring company representatives and local officials, followed by live music on the patio, CultureMap Dallas reported. The first 100 guests will receive an exclusive Shake Shack Texas-themed tumbler cup, so shoppers hoping to snag one should plan to arrive before the 9:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting.

As part of Shake Shack's "Stand for Something Good" initiative, the chain will donate $1 for every sandwich sold on opening day to the Lewisville Education Foundation. The nonprofit has awarded more than $7.7 million to Lewisville ISD students and teachers since 1990, and Highland Village families are served by the district.

Ravi Wadhwa, senior general manager of The Shops at Highland Village, said the opening continues the center's push to bring new dining options to the community.

The menu includes the signature ShackBurger, SmokeShack with smoked bacon and cherry peppers, crinkle-cut fries, crispy chicken sandwiches, hand-spun shakes and frozen custard. Limited-time offerings include a Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake.

Regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday closing times have not been independently confirmed.

Shake Shack joins a wave of new dining at the center. Hudson House is also expected to open at The Shops later in fall or winter 2026.
