Republican Forrest Beadle is seeking reelection as judge of Denton County Criminal Court No. 3 in the Nov. 3, 2026, election, according to the state ballot certification.
His election in November 2018 was followed by an oath-of-office ceremony listed on the county’s Jan. 1, 2019, Commissioners Court agenda. The election year should be distinguished from the start of service on the bench.
Experience and court responsibilities
Beadle’s earlier candidate interview describes Army service and work as a Denton County prosecutor. That historical interview is used for background, not as evidence of a new 2026 platform.
County criminal courts handle misdemeanor proceedings within their statutory jurisdiction. The judge applies the law in cases affecting Denton County residents, including those in Flower Mound and Highland Village.
The sources reviewed do not establish a detailed new campaign policy, funding plan or implementation timetable. A judge cannot independently change criminal statutes or enact the county budget.
The Flower Mound Times did not receive a direct questionnaire response from the candidate and does not endorse candidates.
