Dogs in Halloween costumes can compete for prizes at Hound Mound Dog Park on Wednesday, Oct. 21, when Flower Mound hosts its annual Woof-O-Ween.
The event is free and requires no registration, according to the town's announcement. Judges will award prizes in five costume categories: most creative, scariest, funniest, best homemade and best pet/owner look-alike. That last category is for owners who match their dog's costume.
The evening also features a red-carpet fashion show, treats and music. Whataburger is the presenting sponsor, and Scenthound is the silver sponsor.
Hound Mound Dog Park sits off Garden Ridge Road and has separate areas for dogs of different sizes, according to Flower Mound Local Life. The park is part of the Parks and Recreation Department's 2026 special events calendar, which includes more than 50 community gatherings across the year.
