The City of Highland Village and the Highland Village Business Association (HVBA) need $5,850 more in sponsorships to fund the annual Salute Our Veterans luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The two organizations co-host the event, which provides a free meal to veterans and their guests. The luncheon has run since 2004, according to the HVBA.
Sponsorships start at $50. The HVBA's website states $50 covers two veterans' meals, while a Cross Timbers Gazette post on X sharing the city's appeal described $50 as covering lunch for one veteran. Additional sponsorships are available in $25 increments. The HVBA lists examples: $100 covers four veterans, $150 covers six.
The City of Highland Village posted on Facebook asking residents to sponsor a veteran's lunch at the event.
The total fundraising goal has not been publicly disclosed. Only the $5,850 shortfall has been shared.
Sponsorship details are available on the HVBA's website.
