Indian restaurant chain Hashtag India will build a 3,000-square-foot location at the corner of FM 407 and Cleveland-Gibbs Road in Northlake, adding another dining option to the corridor that connects Flower Mound's eastern neighborhoods to I-35W.

State construction filings show the chain plans to break ground in December 2026 and finish by December 2027, according to a Cross Timbers Gazette report published Wednesday, Aug. 5. The specific address is 8048 Cleveland Gibbs Road, Suite 100, per public filings cited by WhatNow Dallas.

The Northlake spot will be Hashtag India's eighth Texas location. The chain already operates restaurants in Irving, Aubrey, McKinney and Cedar Park, along with outposts in California, Nevada, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia.

What's on the menu

Hashtag India's menu leans on mandis, biryanis and Indo-Chinese dishes alongside breakfast items and desserts. Signature plates listed on the chain's website include Juicy Chicken Mandi, Goat Dum Biryani, Jalapeño Chicken, Ghee Karam Idly and Chicken Mandhakani Curry. The brand describes its concept as a modern take on Indian street food and royal curries.

Where it fits on the corridor

The FM 407 and Cleveland-Gibbs intersection is part of what a Miranda Realty listing identifies as Pecan Plaza, a commercial development by Office Equity Solutions for Hillwood that already counts CVS Pharmacy and Little Caesars Pizza among its tenants. The intersection is roughly two miles east of the Pecan Square community and serves several fast-growing neighborhoods, including Pecan Square (about 3,100 homes) and Harvest (about 4,000 homes).

FM 407 itself is in the middle of a widening project that will expand the road to six lanes between Cleveland-Gibbs Road and Gateway Drive, with completion expected in 2027.

Flower Mound-area diners will have a second new Indian option in the pipeline. As we reported July 31, Dum N Grill, an Indian fusion concept, announced plans for a location on Flower Mound Road.

What's next

No specific opening date beyond the December 2027 construction completion has been announced. No opening date has been set. The town of Northlake has not posted a public hearing or site-plan approval related to the project. Both the restaurant and the six-lane FM 407 widening are targeting the same 2027 finish line.
