The Town of Flower Mound is offering local business owners a free holiday marketing workshop at Town Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

The Holiday Marketing Strategy Session runs from 9 to 11 a.m. at 2121 Cross Timbers Rd. The town's Economic Development office and the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting the event, according to a town civic alert.

Charlotte Carson, owner and CEO of Riser Media Group, will lead the session. Carson has led the local marketing agency for about a decade, with experience running campaigns for small businesses, nonprofits and public-sector clients, according to the agency's website. Riser Media Group has two to 10 employees, according to its LinkedIn profile.

The two-hour session covers fourth-quarter sales and marketing strategy for the holiday season. The town's announcement describes the target audience as everyone from "amateur entrepreneurs to seasoned business owners and leaders."

The workshop is part of the town's quarterly Economic Development Business Workshop series. The series pairs the town's economic development staff with the chamber to provide training and resources to the local business community. Workshop topics are chosen based on surveys and presenter availability, according to the chamber's membership materials.

Carson's agency lists several workshop topics it offers beyond holiday marketing, including social media strategy, branding and email marketing.

Admission is free. RSVPs are required.

To reserve a spot, email Chamber President Lori Walker at [email protected] or call 972-539-0500. The next quarterly workshop date has not been announced.
