Flower Mound's online permitting system shuts down Thursday for four days, cutting off permit applications, inspection scheduling and project tracking for residents, contractors and businesses.

The town's eTRAKiT portal will go offline at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, and is scheduled to return at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, according to a civic alert posted by the town. Both the public-facing eTRAKiT website and the internal TRAKiT system that staff use will be down, meaning no permit applications, plan reviews, inspection requests or project status lookups will be processed.

The town said the shutdown is needed to move the permitting system to cloud-based hosting, a change it said will improve performance and efficiency.

Once the system comes back online, the town said users should not expect any major changes to how they access or navigate the portal.

For questions during the outage, the town directs residents and contractors to call Building Inspections at 972-874-6355.
