Three new businesses opened at The Shops at Highland Village on Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1, adding to a string of recent tenant arrivals at the 375,000-square-foot shopping center.

J. Crew Factory, Troy Bar & Grill and Spirit Halloween all began welcoming customers within days of each other, the Cross Timbers Gazette reported.

J. Crew Factory moved into Suite 130 at 1100 Cottonwood Creek, a space previously occupied by Talbots. A state project filing first surfaced the retailer's plans in March. Before the Highland Village store, the nearest J. Crew locations to southern Denton County were at Grapevine Mills Mall, in Southlake and in Denton. The store carries clothing and accessories for men, women and children.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Troy Bar & Grill opened Sept. 1 at 1700 Cottonwood Creek, Suite 110. The restaurant describes its concept as Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a premium bar. It took over the space previously occupied by Delhi 6, which recently expanded, according to a May Cross Timbers Gazette report. Troy Bar & Grill is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Spirit Halloween reopened for the season on Aug. 31. The seasonal retailer's hours are expected to be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The openings continue a run of new tenants at The Shops. Dragon House, Lululemon, iCRYO, Body20 and OrangeTwist all joined the center through 2024 and into 2025, according to the Flower Mound Bee. Shake Shack opened there in summer 2026.
